I started playing piano at age four, and have walked through life alongside music. There have been peaks and valleys — times of hardship and moments filled with joy.
A philosophy I encountered during my studies in Paris — "play as you truly are" — lies at the heart of my music today. When I am down, I play down; when I am joyful, I play joyful. I strive for music that is free of pretense.
